After overlapping careers as a professional musician, a scene painter, and a theatre director, Victor Allen Simon first photographed with intent in the summer of 1995.

He was awarded the Al Smith Fellowship by the Kentucky Arts Council in 1997, also the year of his first solo gallery exhibition. In 1998, Victor visited Deauville, France as an artiist-in-residence, again under the auspices of the KAC.

In 2003, he was invited to create images honoring the Louisville Ballet's 50th Anniversary, some of which may be seen on this site. Victor's been exhibiting at galleries, cafes, and juried art shows since 1997. Most recently, his work appeared in group shows at the 930 and Wayside Galleries in Louisville (2007).

The Louisville Graphic Designers Association recognized Victor with Gold and Silver Awards for Photography in 2005 and 2006. He works as an advertising photographer and retoucher at Warren Lynch & Associates in Louisville, KY.
